A Warm Welcome

It is a pleasure to announce that the jointly hosted NW Children’s Cancer Operational Delivery Network (ODN) is now established. ODN’s were formally identified to deliver a collaborative model of care to improve the experiences and services for specific patient groups, based on regional and local need.

The Team

Davina Hartley and Charlotte Lloyd have now commenced in their roles as ODN manager and Quality Improvement Lead, respectively. Davina is a social worker by background, who has extensive experience in networking and has led on system change projects within Palliative & End of Life Care for Children and Young People. Charlotte is a registered children’s nurse; with experience in Haemato-oncology. Successful completion of an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice sparked a passion for service improvement and transformation.

Davina and Charlotte will focus on co-ordinating pathways of care and will work closely with patients, commissioners, providers, and clinical networks to ensure access to high quality equitable care. Currently, they are carrying out initial site visits to the PTCs and POSCUs to obtain an overview of the current service delivery and to meet the teams, patients, and families within the region.

They will be working with joint Clinical Leadership from Professor Bernadette Brennan (Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital) and Dr Lisa Howell (Alder Hey Children’s Hospital). We are delighted to welcome them into their roles.
