Visiting
The visiting for Paediatric Wards is mentioned below. It is important that you speak to the ward staff to find out the most up to date information or visiting restrictions.

Both parents or primary care givers have unrestricted access during the day to stay with their child on the unit/ ward (only one parent at night).

Siblings can visit however only 2 persons around the cot/bed space, one of which should be a parent.

All visitors must follow advice and guidance from staff.

All visitors must follow good hand hygiene and washing of hands, including the use of the alcohol gel provided on the ward/ unit.

Travel Information

Travelling by Car
Leave A55 at junction 9 and turn left at the end of the sliproad. At the roundabout, take third exit towards Penrhosgarnedd. At the junction (JLS Garage directly opposite) turn left onto Penrhos Road. Ysbyty Gwynedd is located approximately half a mile on the right.

Visitors travelling by public transport
TRAIN
Visit Traveline Cymru or National Rail for bus times and train travel information.
The hospital is located approximately two miles from Bangor Station. A number of bus services from Bangor City Centre operate via the Train Station and onwards to Ysbyty Gwynedd.

Ysbyty Gwynedd is well served by frequent bus services. Direct buses from Holyhead, Menai Bridge, Beaumaris, Llandudno, Bangor, Bethesda, Llanberis, Caernarfon, Porthmadog, Dolgellau and Aberystwyth.
